Another battle, more experience earned. I was playing with Adam and his shooty mechanised Space Marines. At the end, I scored a draw, game was pretty tight, full of many unpredictable turning points so it the final score wasn't sure until the end of the game. Adam fielded: Librarian equipped with terminator armor, storm shield, with avenger and null zone psychic power. 2 squads of tactical space marines in Rhinos, with power fist, meltagun, plasma cannon. 2 five-man squads of sternguard veterans, equipped with 2 missile launchers, mounted in Razorbacks 3 squads of attack bikes, (2 bikes each) 5-man strong terminator squad, with thunder hammers and storm shields 3 Predators, each with heavy bolters and autocannon Land Raider Redeemer My Roster: HQ: Primalis Psyker: 70 CCS: 2 Grenade Launcher 50 TROOPS: PCS: 4x Flamer 50 Infantry Squad: Plasma, Lascannon, Meltabombs 90 Infantry Squad: Plasma, Lascannon Meltabombs 90 Veteran Squad: 2x Plasma, Meltagun, Power Fist Chimera turret m. laser, hull h flamer 180 Veteran Squad: 2x Plasma, Meltagun, Power Fist Chimera turret m. laser, hull h flamer 180 Veteran Squad: 2x Plasma, Meltagun, Power Fist Chimera turret m. laser, hull h flamer 180 ELITES: Psyker battle Squad (x10) Chimera turret m. laser, hull h flamer 165 FAST ATTACK: Bane Wolf: hull multi melta 145 Bane Wolf: hull multi melta 145 Vendetta Gunship 130 HEAVY SUPPORT: Manticore Rocket Launcher: hull h. flamer 160 Manticore Rocket Launcher: hull h. flamer 160 Leman Russ Battle tank: Hull Lascannon 205

It is a good roster that Adam palyed against you, but I am sure that SM could come with even more harder rosters... However I think there are three aspects that you might consider: 1. Aspect: Psykers in gerneral. Due to increasing amount of people playing Imperia Guard, the new possibilities of SW and the already present psykers, people might consider more and more smal war-gear that deny the sucess of psychic attacks. People will more likely take Imqusitors, Librarians, remain in vehicles... all the like. Therefore you should not build a roster around psykers alone. 2. Aspect. Your army opts out in shooting. You very much rely on shooting phases, while in Hand-to-Hand, your army will be taken apart. infiltrating/Outflanking/Scouting units in vehicles/on bikes/in Drop Pods might cause you: a.) significant losses depending on who starts the game. b.) will defenitely force you to set up squeezed with not much movement options. Your enemy might just stay in Reserve with the complete army to deny your shooting advantage. I am missing a countercharge unit that can deal with such threads. 3. Aspect. Melter vs Plasma. this one Melter in the chimera will not be good in most cases. You cannot rely on one shot. There are two options: a.) Either you are shooting with that Melter, because there is no other target, then the Meltershot is not important b.) You have to bring down that vehicle, then one Melter is to risky and you will assign that target to several units. Therefore, if you want a verteran Squad to bring an enemy vehicle down with a high rate of probability then concentrate the Melters. Else it is risky and spreading the options. Of course i am not a expert on guards, but have you considered something that can put some presure on the opponent apart from Maticors. I mean e.g. Sentinel with Scout move? Or poutflanking Chimera with Troop choices, that will force enemy to guard own objectives?

Hi there, from now on it is possible to use T3 for the admistration of tournaments. I recommend to use that for SZ tournaments as well. Maybe then more people from Berlin will drop by. See link: www.tabletopturniere.de/pl/index.phpCheers so far.

Gratuluje to Poland scoring second place on ETC. And thanks for Poland taking revenge on Sweden - and by doing so helping Germany to reach the 1st place.
As far as I heared the game between Poland and Germany went very fair and sportsmenlike - something I missed in the past ETCs. Great to hear that the wish for sucess did not affect the game's atmosphere. I bow in recognition of both teams attitude.
